Publishing and new versions
A course is only visible to staff once you publish it. If you edit it later a new version is created, so old results are kept. Managers can do this.
Publish the first time
Section titled “Publish the first time”- Check slides and quizzes in the editor. Use Play animations to see how it looks.
- Tap Publish at the top right.
- Tap Publish now in the box that opens. If you have unsaved changes they are saved first.
- You get the message Course published. The status changes to Published and the version to v1.

Important: The course only applies to staff once it is published and assigned. See Assign and make mandatory.
Edit a published course
Section titled “Edit a published course”A published course cannot be edited directly. Results and progress live on the published version.
- Open the course and tap Edit (new draft).
- A draft is created as a copy of the published version, for example v2 · draft.
- Edit slides and tap Save draft.
- Tap Publish.

As long as the draft is not published, staff still see the old version. The course list shows Unpublished changes next to the course.
Must everyone take it again?
Section titled “Must everyone take it again?”When you publish a new version you can tick Everyone must retake this course.

- Off: Earlier completions still count. Use this for small fixes such as typos.
- On: Earlier completions no longer count. Everyone assigned must pass again, and if the course is mandatory a new deadline starts.
What does the employee see?
Section titled “What does the employee see?”If an employee is in the middle of the course when you publish, they see This course has been updated and the button Start over on the new version. Their answers so far are discarded. The course card gets the Updated chip.

Do I lose old results when I publish a new version? No. They stay on the version they were taken on and are still shown in the results.
Can I undo a publication? Not directly. Fix the course in a new draft and publish again.
How many versions can there be? There is no limit. Only the newest published version is active.
